阳朔遇龙河景区是近三年来才有游人光顾的新兴景区，交通不便是她鲜为人知的原因之一，但正是交通不便使它还保留着最最自然的景观：毫无污染的清澈河水、随处可闻的鸡鸣犬吠、追着游人大喊Hello的小童……
人们蜂拥而至，遇龙河景区的大部分河段到现在为止还没有通汽车，只能通过徒步、骑自行车、乘坐竹筏漂流三种方式游览。
人们从四面八方涌来这条宁静的小河，就是想一睹她的真容，5、6月期间，桂林、阳朔有一次涨洪水的时候，每年遇龙河都要吞噬至少几条游客的生命，政府多次下禁令不准竹筏下水，不准游客进入，可是不济于是，四面八方的游客来势好像比洪水更猛，使得政府的文件好似一纸空文，无奈之下，只能是每张竹筏加收几十元税费（或叫人头费）的开禁了。于是人们又可以自由自在的进行遇龙河竹筏漂流了，阳朔遇龙河又成了中国自助游的一个超级亮点。
